Fareshare
Proud to receive food through Fareshare
We save good food destined for waste and send it to charities and community groups who transform it into nutritious meals for vulnerable people. The food we redistribute is fresh, quality and in date surplus from the food industry and the charities we work with can be found across the UK.
FareShare West Midlands redistributes surplus food to over 100 organisations across West Midlands that work with people in need, from families on low income and older people at risk of isolation to those affected by homelessness and mental health issues. The charities FareShare works with provide crucial support services alongside freshly cooked nutritious meals. The West Midlands regional centre is managed directly by FareShare National.
FareShare contributed towards more than 18.3 million meals in 2015/16, which equates to feeding 211,565 people a week. This food is delivered to a broad range of grass root organisations all across the UK including homeless shelters, day centres, women’s refuge centres and children's breakfast clubs.
